Peter White

Executive Chairman

Peter leads the team at Attention Span Media. For 10 years, he headed the Cambridge MA-based strategy-consulting firm, Global Outsight, where he successfully created new companies and turned around underperforming ventures. Before ASM, Peter was the CEO of KHIZ-TV Los Angeles and of Initial Broadcasting of California, where he led the transformation of an underperforming LA broadcast station into a cash-flowing digital TV pioneer, winning an EMMY in the process, culminating in a successful sale in Nov 2007. Peter graduated from Hamilton College and did his graduate work at Harvard University, where he taught Asia-related economic development courses for 8 years.

Garrett Law

Chief Operating Officer

Garrett deals with the numbers and legal matters at Attention Span Media. An EMMY Award winning producer, he honed his media savvy as VP, CFO and General Manager of KHIZ-TV Los Angeles, where he oversaw all operations of the station and company, executing its successful turnaround and technology overhaul. Before KHIZ, he co-founded Global Outsight and was on the staff of the mayor of Boston. He is a Harvard grad who majored in engineering and the history of science.

Josh McHugh

Chief Executive Officer

Josh's experience at the intersection of technology, media and business began 14 years ago at Forbes Magazine, where he chronicled the brainiacs and billionaires behind the turn-of-the-century tech upheaval. Before joining Attention Span in 2008, he was a contributing editor at Wired Magazine and a writer for Vanity Fair, Outside, and shelfloads of other publications. He has also worked as a copywriter for advertising juggernauts Wieden + Kennedy and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. A cable series based on his Wired story “Drug Test Cowboys,” about professional pharmaceutical trial participants, was, for a brief, heady time, in development hell at Comedy Central. Josh graduated from Yale in 1992 with a BA in English. His efforts to dunk a basketball are the subject of Dunkumentary, a documentary currently making the film festival circuit. Josh also serves as president of the Commonwealth Club's INFORUM in San Francisco.

Tyson Law

Creative Director / User Interface Architect

Tyson is ASM's chief graphic designer and user interface architect. Tyson received his Masters in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, where he honed his truly innovative design style and skills. Previously, he worked as a user-interface designer, graphic designer and web developer for Digitas, Avery Dennison, iBelong and Global Outsight LLC. Tyson received his BA in Electronic Media, Arts & Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
